Forever 21 Hologram Fashion Show

This summer, Denver production legends Futuristic Films and motion design boutique Spillt came together to create a truly innovative and never before seen event for Forever 21 and Space150. This unique collaboration combined the full gamut of production capabilities including using 3D rendering techniques, custom screens, green screen video shoots, high-end projectors, special effects, and tens of thousands of key frames. We created a never-before-seen fashion show experience. This new event premiered during the Forever 21 store grand opening in Vienna, Austria and has since been seen in similar events in Belgium, London, New York, Los Angeles and many more.

The primary goal of the fashion show is to highlight the new line, allowing the audience to look at as many models as possible from as many angles as possible. By infusing the show with holographic technology, we were able to maximize the number of models and the angles from which the audience sees them.

Vail Epic Mix

We are proud to showcase our second successful collaboration with Production Powerhouse Futuristic Films in this Epic Mix Online video for Vail Resorts. Vail Resorts called on the Future team to develop this new spot to promote and educate viewers to this Epic brand. Epic Mix Season Pass represents an all new way to interact with your mountain experience by adding social photo applications to an already packed digital product. Combined with new branding elements of this amazing new product, Futuristic’s Jasper Gray and Frank Pickell edited together this entertaining piece defining this new world. Using initial concepts by Futuristic’s John Brisnehan, Spillt was asked to create a system of informational design, compositing and animation to support this unique edit. The result became what is now known as a brand new way to experience the mountains you love, with the people you love in real time so you have more time…with each other.

CBS Sports Network College Football

CBS Sports Network came back to the SPILLT team to help them create a highly editable toolkit to be used weekly to showcase their in-game promotional spots. The toolkit was shot on location as part of the CBS Sports Network new brand development and challenged SPILLT to implement the footage into their current brand packaging. It includes highly editable intros, lower thirds, mortises, back plates and end pages that allow the CBS Sports Network team to create new segments on the fly and on location. SPILLT also provided a style guide to keep all editors in line with the new brand packaging. The spots are currently being shown on-air during any given CBS College Football game.

Who’s The New Guy?

Motion Design Boutique Spillt is pleased to announce its newest member, Curt Cooper as Senior Art Director. Curt is a recent transplant from Chicago and has been assured that the Denver winters are full of sunshine and magic. He has a background in 3D/2D design and is credited with coining the phrase, “It’s not you, it’s me”. He has worked with top agencies and clients across the nation and is looking forward to teaming up with the creative minds of Spillt. “I’m really looking forward to teaming up with the creative minds at Spillt”, commented Cooper. “I think we have the talent here in Denver to really raise some eyebrows, maybe even get a wink and a phone number.”

This year Spillt is honored to receive two Broadcast Design Awards in 2011 Promax/BDA. We received a Gold for our Escape Music video and a Silver for our 2010 Demo Reel. Good Job Team!

CBS Sports Network Launch ID

Our buddies at CBS tapped us to create the promos for their launch of CBS Sports Network (formerly CBS College Sports) that would air during the network’s most watched sporting event of the year, the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship Tournament.

Starting with the old logo, we created a 3D turbine environment to show its evolution into the new CBS Sports Network Logo.

The promos aired on CBS, TNT and truTV during March Madness. The host wraps we created, featuring some of the network’s biggest stars (unfortunately these were produced post Charlie Sheen’s exit from CBS), aired after the launch on April 4th and continued through the month of April.

Position: Full Time Senior Art Director

Job Description:
Spillt is looking for a candidate that can step in and help lead a team of creatives designing / animating and directing for a long list of clients in any new digital media platform.

• Must have experience designing and developing for promos, commercials, broadcast show packages.
• Great attention to detail, ability to lead a team, ability to lead a project from brainstorm to final delivery, great communication skills are necessary.
•Design and animate lead concepts, boards and pitches to Ad agencies and television networks, movie studios, etc… Must be able to clearly pitch, sell, defend, and explain concepts to client.
•5+ years experience
•Execute projects from conception to delivery and be a master of adobe/fcp/cinema4d, etc… and have working knowledge of live action and motion graphics production and visual effects techniques with abilities to reinvent new styles as projects demand.
•Manage and work with in-house staff and freelance team to successfully implement new design concepts and design approaches to progress new styles of design and animation.
•Work with Executive Producer and Creative Director to manage production schedules and delivery deadlines within budget parameters.
•Must be accustomed to working with short turnaround timelines and long hours as a projects dictate.
•Possible travel for production processes, new client meetings, pitches, and delivery dates if necessary.
